Whats new about this news? We have been hearing this since Thursday evening.

they responded today to USCIS, nothing much here I guess...
one of the forms had my birth date wrong, so USCIS was asking for the actual birth date.
Strange...my 140 was filed on Nov 2006....and then got a REF on August 29th 2007, my pawyer responsed last week...and I thought that as soon as USCIS gets the evidence they will hopefully approve my case....(the evidence was a minor (atleast I thought it was minor) issue about birth date...
and now USCIS has revieved the evidence they asked for...guess what they say...
On October 10, 2007, we received your response to our request for evidence. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. opening new threads like this is annoying, I see lots of useless thread around here which discourages me to come to IV that often. He is asking update from CORE like they owe him, he must have paid his attorney and should attorney in such way not here. Whenever core has something to share they do share, no doubts.
If you do not feel like coming to IV forum, that is your problem.
If anything only the IV Admins can speak of what the members can ask or cannot ask.
I think it is clear that this platform is not a paid subscription, so if the IV Admins do not ask for money who are you to speak of money here?
I did not demand anything, it was a request which the Admins and lot other members would understand except for some jacka** like u.

Mine was filed by Fragomen in June and responded to audit in November as well. If your case was filed by Fragomen you have no option but the wait. Sorry to disappoint you, but I am in exactly the same situation.

If I remember correctly, there is information on the paperwork that you receive your card with that states something along the lines of:-
"Please check the information on the card, if any of it is correct please call XXX number / write to us at YYY"

Is there any scope any where to add this to current bill...are our immigration voice working towards this issue at all...if so can you pls let us know what you are doing for this issue..because I did not see anywhere updates from immigration voice ..or any ammendments on this issue..

All these articles say we are hoping to get citizenship. I think this word raises more shackeles than saying getting green card. Cmon, we are only thinking GC now. Ctizinship after 5 years is somewhat of a time bound process.
Why don these articles say we are waiting for GC. This atleast will be more palatable to the anti leagl immigration forces.More importanatly it refelects our true problem as of now.

I would suggest you to switch jobs and complain to USCIS right away instead of waiting for company A to take some action against you. This will keep the company under scrutiny of USCIS and they can unearth more mud on this company. Never put up with injustice as this encourages company A to do more of this to other employees.

It's like a scam. I wonder how could labor substitution live for so long. My labor was filed in sep'2003 and I'm still waiting. My next door was planning to go back to his country and had never applied for Green card, but 6 months ago, when he had 2-3 months left for his 6th year, he got a labor and he filed I-140 & I-485 together. Now he and his wife works on EAD & I'm still waiting for my labor. What kind of @#@$@# is this ? And who know before my attorney receives my labor cert. it'll allready be 45 days and I will have to pack my bags. that'll be @#$@#$!!!!

Hi,
I recently (one month back) got laid off from the company who filed for my green card. Today i got RFE on my 485 (AOS) requesting "currently dated and original letter from current employerthat specifies dates of employment, current postion, wage, and that the terms and conditions of the empployment petition continue to exist".
I am not working with the company anymore but I am on their payroll till July 21st 2009.
I am still looking for a new job so i don't have any prospective employer yet. I have to reply back before July 19th so I don't have enough time left.
My company said they can't give me employment letter now so my companies lawyer suggested that they will send reply with their own cover letter and my last two months paystubs. 3 years of tax returns.
Do you think it will work and it won't cause any problems to my petition?
What other options do I have ?

You could argue that you don't need to have a job now, just that you need to be in a "same or similar"position when the 485 is approved. if your priority date is very backlogged, you have lots of time to find a job.
