Would also like to thank Gopal (gsc999) for getting all the banners done and helping a lot in organizing the SJ rally.Kudos to all Noble souls in the IV Core. I think what IV has acheived is amazing and unprecedented. Also money is too small to repay all the hours and work you guys have put in.

I have PD of Dec 2005 and I140 approved in June 2006 from TSC. Filed 485 on July 3rd .checks not cashed yet neither received the Receipt notice. Called up and lady checked the system and my 485 app is not in the system. She told me to call around 20th to check the status. What are they cooking ? I am not sure.

Move fast and hold a rally or send out flowers to Obama administration for their racism towards immigrants.
Act fast, I know 20th is close, think about is as an emergency
Now is the time to really take this to the next level and push for real changes to employment-based processing. Or you can simply accept the reality that you have to wait ten years longer than everyone else to get a green card

I think what has happened here is that DOS was frustrated with the pace in which USCIS was processing applications. So in order to push them to work faster, they made all categories current. This strategy worked and USCIS approved 60,000 visa in 15 0r 20 or however many days.
Then USCIS communicated with DOS that annual quota has been exhausted and thus DOS published the revised bulletin.
My 2 cents.
but why in 15 days? They had upto Sept 2007 to use up those numbers. So they worked overtime to make sure they dont have to accept new applications. Can they atleast admit to that?

I have a bad feeling about IVs goals. Are you only concerned about getting the GC backlogs cleared? or are you going to be asking for H1b related issues to be addressed too? eg:- H1b renewal after the 6th year is an issue any moron could easily understand and pass. That has been there for many years and should continue for a successful H1b program. Please take care of that issue too. I dont see that included in the letter you have prepared to be sent out to all the senators. Please do that urgently. This is a very techinical issue and can easily be campaingned for. Pls dont ignore it.
If the number 3 in the letter has something to do with H1b renewal, pls reword it and make it clear, however, Idont believe its related to h1b renewal atall.

Labor Substition was a devil which has created most of this problem as I can see there are hardly 15-20% original beneficiaries for these 2002-2003 Labors.
Employers made Labor Sub a Devil by misusing it. It has been provided to employers as a valid advantage from employer perspective.
Infact GC has become a retention perk for the employer and from the employer perspective all they need is unlimited H-1B permits. All this added to the fuel that GC has become a perk to the employee because they suck up 6 years of H-1B servitude and not a Employer benefit anymore.

in one of the threads its said that all 90 senators had agreed to pass the SKIL as against one who did not (sen sessions) and since lame duck required unanimous voting it cud not, but when the demo's bring it up early next year, they would not need an unanimous vote on it but a majority vote? so statistically it sud get through? how far off am i on this?

If a person isn't contributing money, isn't participating in state chapters, isn't going to any rally and his/her sole contribution is 'brilliant ideas' that get posted on the forums... only use he/she can be put to is inter-breeding donkeys and horses, like you said!
However, unfortunately, IV is not a farm.
A rich man had a bunch of horses and donkeys. He used some to carry the load and some he tried to breed for participating in races. He was trying something but not very effeciently.

no receipt notice yet. Checks haven't been cashed as of this morning.
i sent application for me and my wife on july 6th NSC my I 140 was applied in TSC . i am NJ resident. wife took info pass appointmnet as no check cashed, no notice receive. started worrying now. as NSC is updating even new applications no sure if my case was transferred to TSC or not . any body in same boat ? application was signed by R williams in NSC.

LUDs: This may mean some processing on our files whether it is approved I140 or approved H1B. My first H1B of year 1998 got LUD as 07/07/07, year 2002 H1B got LUD in June 2007 and I-140 LUD as 07/28/2007. But in the current 485 context, I think NSC is updating our I-140 files based on current residence and putting some flag to segregate files for NSC or TSC. Seeing few threads, what I noticed is if someone living in NSC jurisdiction states like Illinois, Arizona etc, NSC started issuing receipt notices irrespective of where his/her 140 approved. So here is the matrix.

If someone has contradictory scenario, please speak up.

...... because my AOS got filed last year, I made the decision to let go of my canadian GC.
How did you let go of it. Did you have to tell the canadian consulate and send in your passport for them to remove your visa. I will be hitting the 3 year mark end of this year.
